Testimonials

"I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to you for taking the time to speak to our youth. The valuable insights and perspectives you shared with our young people were truly inspiring.

Your talk was both engaging and informative, and it left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. The feedback we received from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, and it's clear that your words have had a profound impact on them.

Your willingness to share your time and expertise with our program participants is greatly appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better guest speaker, and we are looking forward to your return in the spring.

Once again, thank you so much for your contribution to our program."

“Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining Slippery Rock University’s Finance & Economics Club and Rock Solid Investments Club in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. During our three-day long trip, we visited the U.S. Treasury Department, The Bureau of Engraving and Printing, The Library of Congress, and other historic locations and monuments around the city.

My favorite event that we attended, however, was the Backpacks to Briefcases event where we got to network with SRU Alumni living and working in the surrounding area. I had the honor of meeting Jamaur Law, the donor of one of the two scholarships I received this semester, The Brenda Lee Scholarship. Though our conversation was short, what Mr. Law said to me will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I told Mr. Law that growing up I was surrounded by many role models in the business industry, but they were all men. I shared that from a very young age, I would tell my parents I wanted to be one of those “powerful women” who “walked around in high heels and carried a briefcase.” Those women, however, never had a name or a face; they were always hypothetical… The media never shed light on powerful businesswomen for this person to exist.

Later in the conversation, Mr. Law told me that I was mistaken— I am the voice and I am the face of women in business; throughout my life, I was manifesting the woman I would become. So powerful!”

"I am writing to say thank you to you for the Jamaur Law Foundation Scholarship.  This scholarship will go a long way in helping me to achieve my goals at Stevenson University.  I am planning a career in Health Care, more specifically, nursing. As a part of my program, I am looking forward to completing my hours of clinical rotation during my time at Stevenson.I am sure you have had many applicants for this scholarship, and I appreciate your decision to accept my application and to choose me as the recipient of this scholarship.  Indeed, I am looking forward to beginning my studies at the University and I am grateful for your support as I enter the next step on my educational journey."

"On July 13th, 2023, I attended a financial literacy class that was geared towards our young males in our mentoring group. I thought it was well organized and I knew it was effective by the questions our mentees were asking. I feel this topic is so important to expose our youth to financial literacy. Mr. Law's examples and definitions grabbed the attention and at the end of the evening reinforced the lessons by giving them an exercise to discuss with their parents. To me sharing this knowledge will plant seeds in them to blossom in the years to come. Keep providing your technical wisdom for our youth to prosper!"

“I would like to thank you and your foundation, the Jamaur Law Foundation immensely for the priceless amount of financial Information that you provided me and my peers as rising Juniors in high school during our internship.

I have been applying all of this information in my day-to-day life and it has assisted me in getting a 760+ Credit Score in just 2 years with no prior credit history. I opened a Roth IRA at the age of 18 that I consistently contribute to, as well as other brokerage accounts that help me to pay for college, which I pay for.

I can not begin to thank you for all the foundational knowledge that you instilled into me during your brief but concise sessions, that I have applied in other aspects of my life such as my small businesses, teaching and assisting people how to match themselves with the right credit card, how to manage a credit card, etc.”

"The partnership with Jamaur Law Foundation has become an essential need in the PATH program. The Jamuar Law Foundation provided a six-week virtual educational training to residents of the PATH program about the importance of financial literacy and money management. During this time, Mr. Law has helped several residents become catalysts of generational wealth."

“At myheart, I’m a servant leader. I truly want to elevate and make better the circles of which I’m a part. From my friends and family to my community and company, I love to see positive change and advancement in others. To that end, it was great to have an opportunity to extend my circle. I now feel connected to the Jamaur Law Foundation and, by extension, the community it serves. It brings me joy that by helping to advance the Foundation that I’m also helping to advance and change outcomes for low- and moderate-income individuals in the greater Washington, D.C., region.”

“The bulk of what I did with Jamaur was similar to what I do in my day job, but I strove to put on a different hat when approaching the work – thinking about Jamaur’s organization and how best to reach his audience. Most importantly, I got to know Jamaur personally, which helped me give voice to his vision through his organization’s materials. I hope that all of us were able to contribute in some small way to help Jamaur attain his vision.”

— Jeremy Litton

Director, Intranet Management, Voya Financial

"Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to come and speak with my football team and I. It was great to listen to your own experiences and see how you learned from them. All of the things that you were able to teach us during your workshop are incredibly valuable life lessons that are no longer taught in school. It was great for me to gain more knowledge in the financial field, especially since I am about to graduate and start taking care of more and more financial accounts. I will be able to use the knowledge you taught us right away, especially with my credit card bills."

"I can't thank you enough! My daughter started talking about the stock market as a recommendation for her money ... OMG LOL! I asked if her dad told her about it, and she said, 'No, we've been learning about financial literacy at school for two weeks with Mr. Law.' LOL YESSS!!!"
