The Brenda Lee Undergraduate and Upperclassmen Scholarships honor Brenda Lee Moore (mother of five sons, two of them being Slippery Rock University alums) for her abundant life of service. These scholarships are awarded to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at Slippery Rock University and support an upper-class student in recognition of the opportunities Brenda gave to her family.

Brenda was a lifelong advocate for learning, service, and the importance of higher education. She understood that education and learning gave everyone freedoms and unique opportunities. Brenda’s passing in December of 2021 gave her family the opportunity to create and establish a legacy for the future. Her family wants Brenda’s passion for learning to live on through the students & families who will be awarded these scholarships.

In her honor, the family offers these scholarships to students and their families to provide them with the same opportunities afforded to Brenda Lee’s children. Scholarships are to be awarded to full-time students. The first preference is an underrepresented minority junior or senior majoring in business with a 3.0 GPA. Recipients will be selected by the College of Business.
